100 NFT collections exceed a volume of US $ 20 billion – Cryptopunks, bored monkeys conquer peak volumes – Blockchain
Non-fungible token (NFT) assets have been hugely popular this year, with more than $ 20 billion in volume in NFT sales under 100 collections to date. While many individual NFTs sold for millions of dollars, a number of NFT projects and collections recorded all-time volumes of hundreds of millions and even billions. According to defillama.com metrics, the popular NFT collection, Cryptopunks, has totaled $ 2.98 billion.
100 NFT collections, 6 chains, $ 20 billion in volume
Numerous NFT collections were very prominent in 2021 and the subject of various discussions. While Bitcoin.com News posted the top ten most expensive non-fungible token sales this year, a large number of NFT collections saw significant trading volumes and demand. Data from defillama.com tracks 100 NFT collections and to date these particular NFT series have generated $ 20.13 billion in all-time sales.

Decentraland was just under $ 1 billion with $ 930.98 million and 6,051 owners. The Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC) ranks fourth with $ 513.23 million in total and 10,711 MAYC owners. The Sandbox ranks fifth this year with a volume of $ 450.7 million and 17,315 owners. The Cool Cats NFT collection fetched $ 239.3 million, Superrare processed $ 237.94 million, Cryptoadz recorded $ 204.29 million, and Parallel Alpha was roughly $ 202.87 million in volume.
Finally, the tenth largest volume belongs to Punk’s comic book with $ 181.46 million and 5,912 owners. According to Punk’s Comic, other notable NFT collections included Clone X ($ 154.55M), Cyberkongz ($ 151.26M), Veefriends ($ 130.47M), Doodles ($ 121.89M), Creature World ($ 115.19 million), RTFKT ($ 93.8 million), Vox Collectibles ($ 66.4 million), Town Star ($ 65.7 million), Gutter Cat Gang (61 , $ 6 million) and Rumble Kong League ($ 52.6 million).
Town Star, Parallel Alpha, The Sandbox Assets, Adidas Originals NFTs have the most owners
The NFT project with the largest number of owners listed on defillama.com’s NFT volume metrics page is Town Star with 31,721 owners. Parallel Alpha has 30,250, The Sandbox Assets has 22,387 owners, Adidas Originals has 18,869 and as mentioned above, The Sandbox’s virtual universe has 17,315 owners.
A fairly new NFT project, Adidas Originals, sold $ 38.3 million in a very short time. The Adidas Originals NFT collection has a minimum price of around $ 3,523 at the time of writing. The Bored Ape Yacht Club’s reserve price is highest at $ 193,000, and the reserve price is followed by the Inft Personality Pod Sale at $ 79,173. The collection with the lowest reserve price at the time of writing is Levana Dragons at $ 12.00.
