The space trip will be conducted in a Blue Origin spaceship owned by Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon, which also made a maiden flight last July. Sun also announced that he will be carrying 5 unknown people with him.

Tron founder Justin sun announced Yesterday he had plans to fly into space next year to fulfill one of his childhood dreams. The journey that would get the crypto entrepreneur out of the earth’s atmosphere would be with the services of Blue Origin, the space company of Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon. Sun also announced that he was the nameless winner of an auction that joined Bezos on the company’s inaugural flight. He paid $ 28 million to attend the launch. Sun stated:

I won the auction 6 months ago but missed the start. However, that didn’t stop my love of space.

The entrepreneur, who recently left his position with the Tron Foundation, the organization behind Tron, was also recently appointed to represent Grenada with the World Trade Organization. Sun further explained he would carry the flag of the country during his space voyage.

But Sun has no plans to go into space alone. He said he would take five people from different backgrounds with him. The campaign called “Sea of ​​Stars” will nominate five different people to complete the group of six for the trip. The first of the nominees for the trip will, according to Sun, be a crypto entrepreneur involved in the Metaverse. The second nominee will be part of the Tron DAO and can come from any background in the community.

The third nominee will be chosen from among technology-related entrepreneurs. The fourth nominee will have an artistic background, and the fifth and final nominee will be a “very visible and socially influential celebrity” who will be a mystery guest. These nominees will be announced in the coming months as Sun stated that names have not yet been set for these positions.

While Sun did not disclose exact dates for the launch, the official website is for the Sea of ​​Stars event conditions the ship will be launched in the fourth quarter of 2022.
