Arcane Research Makes Memecoin Prediction For 2022 Says Ethereum Will See Fierce Competition

Arcane Research gives traders some insight into what could happen Ethereum (ETH) and the meme coins in the coming year.
In The Weekly Update report, the crypto intelligence company predicts that ETH will outperform in terms of price developments Bitcoin (BTC), but also that yours Market capitalization will continue to lag behind that of Bitcoin.

Ethereum’s valuation of BTC is currently around $ 490 billion while BTC is valued at $ 1 trillion.

“ETH will continue to outperform BTC, but we won’t see ETH’s market capitalization outperform BTC.”

But Ethereum is also exposed to threats from other Layer 1 networks.

In 2021 Solana (SOL), Avalanche (AVAX), Terra (LUNA), Fantom (FTM) and Harmony (ONE) have already left ETH far behind in winning. LUNA, which achieved the highest return, posted a 14,823% increase versus Ethereum’s 460% increase.

The report says that these platforms’ native tokens will continue to outperform ETH for the next year as user adoption and cash inflows continue to grow, driving up the price of these coins.

“Adoption of Layer 1s other than Ethereum will continue to increase and continue to surpass ETH.”

With memecoins like dog tags Dogecoin (DOGE) and Shiba Inu (SHIB), the company predicts the majority of these tokens will eventually fall after their massive rally in 2021.

“Most Memecoins will be forgotten and be a historical relic from the absurd time of 2021.”
