Gestern haben wir gesehen, dass der Mindestpreis für NFTs aus der Sammlung des Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) zum ersten Mal den für die berühmten Crypto Punks übertraf.
Data from OpenSea shows that the minimum price of the BAYC NFT collection hit 54 yesterday ETH while the minimum price of an NFT from the CryptoPunk collection was 52.8 ETH.
In other words, we witnessed the very first flippening in the NFT world, where the most expensive collection was officially the Bored Ape Yacht Club.
CoinGecko co-founder and COO Bobby Ong commented on the matter and gave three reasons why he thought this was happening.
The ape punk flippening turned out to be happening a lot faster than expected. Was asked for some reasons why this happened. My thoughts:
1. BAYC has generous IP rights compared to punks
2. BAYC has actively brought celebrities on board
3. BAYC teased a token for the NFT https://t.co/txwGxLJqHj

First, he said BAYC had generous intellectual property rights compared to punks. In fact, BAYC NFT owners receive some IP rights associated with the tokens. They are using these rights to develop a blockchain-based game and have teamed up with Animoca Brands to do this.
The second reason is pretty simple – a lot of celebrities supported the project. FT superstar Stephen Curry bought a Bored Ape NFT for $ 180,000 in August, and he’s just one of the famous people involved in it.
Last but not least, Ong mentions that, unlike crypto punks, BAYC “teased a token for the NFT”. The announcement came from BAYC in October of this year and said that the first quarter of 2022 is expected to start.
Good evening, monkeys. Have often heard a question in the club:
WEN TOKEN? 🤔
Wen token indeed. . . Some thoughts below.
