Major cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase will transform the user experience on its platforms and phase out the Coinbase Pro service.
Regardless, the company brought out its redesigned mobile Wallet-Application to the market that makes it easier for users to access and navigate the main decentralized apps (dapps) and also adds support for Solana allows.
No more Coinbase Pro
The company wants to have all its services under one roof, which is why it is gradually stopping allowing users to access the professional trading platform Coinbase Pro. Thus, customers can deploy, borrow and use the dapp wallet and Coinbase card from the main platform.
The exchange noted that in the coming weeks it will “add Advanced Trade to the Coinbase mobile app along with other enhancements to make Advanced Trade an upgrade from Coinbase Pro for every customer.”
“Advanced Trade offers in-depth technical analysis, advanced real-time order books and charts powered by TradingView to help clients research and analyze crypto markets before making investment decisions.” – the statement described the advanced trading feature.
The crypto exchange also announced the wallet changes on Wednesday (June 22, 2022) via an official blog post. According to Coinbase, the new mobile wallet app became available on June 22, and more users will be accessing the app in the coming weeks.
The redesign comes with a new DApp browser, a default dark mode and real-time price charts. Users can too DeFi-Explore protocols (Decentralized Finance), P2E games (Play-to-Earn) and offer more features that allow easy movement between DApps on different networks.
Coinbase also added support for the Solana network, stating:
“With support for sending, receiving and storing SOL and SPL tokens, you no longer need multiple wallet apps for your multichain Web3 activity.”
In addition, the redesigned Coinbase wallet app helps users to manage their Ethereum and polygon–NFTs. Additionally, a DeFi tab on the home screen makes it easier to view balances and deposits on the Ethereum network. Meanwhile, the crypto exchange said there are plans to support more networks.
The revamped app also seeks to expand access for billions of people around the world by supporting 25 languages.
