Coinbase suspends trading for planned system update on March 4, 2023
Coinbase, one of the world’s largest crypto exchanges, is planning a technical system update to begin on Saturday, March 4th, 2023. The update is expected to take up to 8 hours, but may take longer or shorter depending on circumstances.
During this scheduled maintenance period, trading, transfers and access to funds will be restricted on Coinbase.com (basic and advanced trading) and the mobile app. Also, recurring purchases will be delayed until the system update is complete. However, users can still access their account. After the completion of the technical system update, Coinbase will gradually allow trading again.
Coinbase emphasizes that this planned system update is an important step towards a stable and secure platform for crypto trading and management. The exchange asks its users to understand the temporary limitation during the update.
To keep users informed of the progress of the update, Coinbase will provide updates and reminders on its status pages at status.exchange.coinbase.com and status.coinbase.com as well as on Twitter @CoinbaseExch and @CoinbaseAssets.
