Collections of Ordinal Inscriptions on Bitcoin Blockchain Grow as Creators Monetize Art –
With more than 150,000 ordinal inscriptions on the Bitcoin–Blockchain Collections are now plentiful as creators and artists have found a new way to monetize their artworks via blockchain technology. Over the past month people have been launching collections like Ordinal Punks, Ordinal Penguins, Bitcoin Shrooms, Inscribed Pepe, Planetary Ordinals, Based Apes, Satoshi Punks, Ordinals Eggs, Block Munchers and more. Although the lettering trend is still young, several collections are attempting to break into this emerging market and some are selling for significant value.
Collections on Bitcoin blockchain hope to become “blue chip” digital collectibles
There are numerous ordinal inscriptions on the Bitcoin blockchain these days as the demand for the technology has soared. Blockchains have been liking for years Ethereum have established collections such as the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), Cryptopunks, Azuki, Moon Birds, Doodles, Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC) and others.
Some of these non-fungible tokens (NFTs) have become known as “blue chip” NFTs because they have retained significant value and have been sold on the open market for several years. For example, BAYC and Cryptopunks currently hold the highest land values among all collections.

Many newly minted ordinal inscription collections resemble ideas taken from popular Ethereum collections, such as: Ordinary punks Collection. The collection includes different versions of pixelated punk characters, of which only 100 are available as opposed to the 10,000 Cryptopunks available.
For those who are into pixelated punk characters there are other collections like Punks on Bitcoin, Satoshi punks, DOS punk 256And Yeti Bit Club. Similar to Rare Pepe NFT Collection Manufactured with Counterparty, there are numerous collections dedicated to Pepe the Frog including Denotes Pepes And Immortal Pepes.
Other known collections include Ordinal Rocks, Block Muncher, order penguins, Bitcoin Toadz, XC pinata, Ordinal Eggs, Planetary Ordinalsorder smoke and Based on monkeys. Ordinal punks have been sold for a significant amount and recently someone traded Cryptopunk #4155 for Ordinal Punk 16.
Most ordinal punks are sold at prices between 3.7 Bitcoin And 5.4 Bitcoinand three days ago Ordinal Eggs called it saw 4 BTC in over-the-counter (OTC) volume. Bitcoin Toadz recently sold #4913 for 2.5 Ethereum and another for sold2.8 ether.
The creator behind Ordinal Shardsa collection of 100 shards inscribed on the bitcoin blockchain, called Sales took place in both ETH and BTC. In addition to the collections being talked about on social media, there are a large number of ordinal inscriptions on the chain that could be future collections or have an unknown meaning.
There is also text, numbers, odd fonts, 1kb gold bars, quotes, videos, animations and audio messages. There have been some critics of the ordinals trend who have done so called it “spamms” compared to older generation counterparty-issued assets. Some have too questioned the accuracy of OTC sales tied to ordinal inscriptions.
