However, the rising temperatures in Barcelona caused major problems for Leclerc as his engine gave out on lap 27. His main Red Bull team rival Max Verstappen – who appeared to have chosen a better strategy and the right tires for the weather conditions – prevailed to lead and win the Spanish GP.

It’s worth noting that Drake is a close friend of seven-time world champion – Lewis Hamilton – who finished the race in fifth place. Despite their friendship, the rapper didn’t reveal if he put some crypto on him.

The musician is no newbie when it comes to sports betting. In February, he made a large $1.26 million bitcoin bet on the Super Bowl game between the Los Angeles Rams (LA Rams) and the Cincinnati Bengals. He bet $472,000 on LA Rams to win the title, roughly $400,000 on Odell Beckham Jr. (OBJ) to catch a touchdown, and $400,000 on the footballer to over 62.5 receiving yards.

The Los Angeles team won 23-20, giving Drake a profit of $240,000 in BTC. His second bet was also successful as superstar OBJ caught the first touchdown in the match, earning the rapper an additional $453,000 of the leading digital asset.

Unfortunately, an injury prevented the footballer from surpassing 62.5 yards and Drake lost his last prediction.

A few weeks later, the rapper tried his luck in a UFC fight. He bet $275,000 worth of Bitcoin on Jorge Masvidal securing a win against Colby Covington. The fighters had a fierce battle, but unfortunately for Drake, Covington was the undisputed winner by the end of the last round.
