Enjins Efinity won Polkadot’s sixth parachain for $ 214 million

Raised over $ 214 million

Efinity won its sixth Parachain slot after collecting nearly 7.7 million DOTs worth over $ 214 million from more than 8,600 stakeholders who had their funds blocked.

Polkadot congratulated the project on winning, noting that Efinity will go live on March 11, 2022, at the start of the seventh lease, along with the winners of the following five auctions, which will take place before onboarding.

Building the next generation NFT marketplace

Efinity is a project dated Blockchain-Gaming company Enjin was designed as a cross-chain NFT infrastructure that creates ecosystem interoperability and incentives for users engaging in NFTs.

With almost all previous winners of Polkadots Parachain slots DeFi-Well, Efinity believes that “the interconnected blockchains – and indeed the world – need an updated network for sharing digital assets.”

The cross-chain network describes itself as the “next generation NFT marketplace”. It aims to leverage the Polkadot ecosystem to build a decentralized metaverse that will allow users to exchange and transfer non-fungible tokens across blockchains.

Winner of the Parachain slot from Polkadot

Polkadot started its Parachain slot auction on November 11, 2021 after years of planning. Parachains are an integral part of the Polkadot structure and represent user-defined and project-specific blockchains that are integrated into the network.

Since the start of the auction, Polkadot has held six auctions, with the winners being Acala, Moonbeam, Astar, Parallel Finance, Clover Finance and most recently Efinity.

With an estimated 100 Parachain slots available on Polkadot, winners will be able to connect to the network by renting a slot on the Relay Chain for up to 96 weeks with the option to review.

Meanwhile, Polkadot’s seventh Parachain auction is scheduled for January 7, 2022.
