ETC up 12% as SOL nears 1-month high – market updates
Ethereum classic is up as much as 12% in today’s session as cryptocurrency markets rallied earlier in the weekend. The Global market capitalization is trading over 3% higher at the time of writing as investors continue to buy crypto following the recent banking crisis. Also Solana was higher in today’s session.
Ethereum Classic (ETC)
Ethereum Classic (ETC) is up as much as 12% in today’s session as traders continue cryptocurrencies pumped.
After a low of $19.14 on Friday, ETC/USD rose to a high of $22.46 at the start of the weekend.
The move came as Ethereum Classic surged back above a recent bottom of $20.00, marking its strongest point since February 22.
Looking at the chart, the rally also fell with the breakout of the 14-day relative strengthindex (RSI) collapsed above a ceiling at 58.00.
As of this writing, the index is at 60.22, its highest level since February 2nd.
The next visible resistance point seems to be a ceiling at 65.00 which could see ETC close to $25.00.
Solana (SOL)
Alongside ETC, Solana (SOL) was also in the green earlier in the week, with prices trading up to 9% higher.
SOL/USD surged to a high of $22.54 in today’s session after falling to a bottom of $19.94 the previous day.
As a result of Saturday’s surge, Solana has now moved to its strongest point since late February.
As with ETC, a catalyst for the move was a breakout that took place on the RSI indicator.
As of this writing, the index is now at 55.71, which is above the 50.00 ceiling mentioned above
In the short-term, bulls might try to send the token to $23.00, which is the next key price point for SOL.
