Investment veteran Tom Lee makes massive Bitcoin forecast for 2022 – Here’s his goal
Tom Lee, Managing Partner of Fundstrat Global Advisors, is disappointed with the year-end performance of Bitcoin (BTC) in 2021, but still believes the leading crypto asset could reach new heights in 2022.
In an interview with the trading education platform MarketRebellion, Lee says that Bitcoin may only have clear skies for next year in 2021 as Bitcoin survived several hardships.
“I think Bitcoin … you know, I’m disappointed that it didn’t go higher in 2021 …
I think it still has a chance to rebound because the S&P is rebounding, so Bitcoin should be moving at the same time. 2022 should be a good year.
Because the things that bothered Bitcoin in 2021, such as China, which essentially bans mining and tries to essentially ban Bitcoin, would have been viewed as a crypto winter event and it didn’t kill Bitcoin.
So if the US government doesn’t ban Bitcoin next year, it has Bitcoin already put some of the negative catalysts in action … so I think Bitcoin could do really, really well. “
Pushed for a Bitcoin price prediction, Lee explains that the price of BTC could skyrocket up to four times current levels by the end of next year.
“Well, on the percentage uptrend, I’m a little disappointed again that it didn’t hit $ 100,000 this year, but I think next year.” [it will] easily reach $ 100,000, but …
Let’s say it should have been $ 100,000 this year, so Bitcoin might be in that range of $ 200,000 [next year]. “
Bitcoin is trading at $ 48,642 at the time of writing, down over 6% from the day.
