Crypto-friendly browser users can access popular decentralized apps including DEXs like PancakeSwap, 1 inch based on BNB Chain.

Opera — a web browser that supports Web3 — has announced support for Binance’s BNB smart contract blockchain on desktop and mobile.

Opera taps on BNB Chain

According to the official blog post, Opera revealed that its crypto browser’s latest integration with BNB will allow users to buy BNB tokens with fiat as well as send and receive the asset through the built-in crypto wallet.

In addition, users can also access BNB Chain-based decentralized applications. In addition to transactions and funds, Opera also offers access to popular decentralized exchanges such as PancakeSwap, 1inch, BiSwap, as well as products such as DRIP Venus, Tranchess, Treehouse, ApeSwap, and AutoShark Finance.

Opera also stated that this partnership has the potential to take Web3 adoption to the next level. The announcement went on,

“With today’s announcement of BNB Chain Integration, Opera continues to streamline mainstream access to Web3 and beyond. With the Opera Crypto Browser, existing users of BNB Chain dApps and token holders can now join the hundreds of millions of Windows, Android and Mac users worldwide who have unique Web3 access capabilities at their disposal.”

Opera has partnered with multiple blockchains in recent years. In addition to BNB Chain, the browser company has its support for nine major ones Blockchain-Ecosystems expanded, including Bitcoin, Solana, polygonStarkEx, Ronin, Celo, Nervous Network and now BNB Chain.

It previously emphasized that it does not intend to focus solely on one blockchain or token. Instead, Opera is trying to integrate multiple blockchains and decentralized domain name systems into its crypto browsers, giving users rich options. It also intends to use more features that include Layer 2

Exploring Web3

The latest integration follows Opera’s beta release of a Web3 browser for iOS devices, iPhone and iPad last month. The Norwegian company launched its highly anticipated Crypto Browser project in January.
